This concept originally started as just a joke. How do you combat the administration’s willingness to privatize the park service, after having told them they can’t communicate actual scientific fact through their Twitter feed? You hike, of course!

Then I started thinking about it more. Why not hiking? It’s like a march, only with more elevation changes. 

So, this week, each comic will highlight one of my favorite parks. Today is obviously everyone’s favorite giant hole in the ground, the Grand Canyon!
