I kind of love Disney’s ’90s Three Musketeers movie. It is fabulous and too much fun.

When I was a young man, I was bullied quite a bit. I was different from my peers, but not in any remarkable way. I wore the wrong clothes, listened to the wrong music, enjoyed reading…I was just a little off-kilter. By the time I got into high school, I managed to find a group of friends who had similar interests and liked me for me.

All things considered, I’ve had a pretty damn easy life. It’s better with friends who understand you, definitely. But it’s even better if you have a giant mech to destroy your enemies.

We have pet names for each other, to be sure. But “baby” is not – and never will be – one of them.
