Hindsight always provides the obvious answers, doesn’t it?
Yellowstone National Park is one of my favorite places in the entire world.
The first national park I ever visited was Mesa Verde in Colorado.
Shenandoah is a beautiful place here in Virginia. I do love taking Skyline Drive through the park, and especially during the autumn.
Zion Canyon National Park in Utah is beautiful. One of my favorite parts of the park is the river walk, where you…well, you get the idea.
This concept originally started as just a joke. How do you combat the administration’s willingness to privatize the park service, after having told them they can’t communicate actual scientific fact through their Twitter feed? You hike, of course!
Then I started thinking about it more. Why not hiking? It’s like a march, only with more elevation changes.
So, this week, each comic will highlight one of my favorite parks. Today is obviously everyone’s favorite giant hole in the ground, the Grand Canyon!
Hiking for the parks! It’s an idea whose time has come.
Yeah clearly plan the same way I do.
Which is to say, poorly.
Toddlers can get into everything and have no respect for the narrative conventions of shadowy cabals.
