I’m also missing my good stapler. I am not happy.
Finally got around to watching Hunger Games this evening. It was good, and I think most of the changes from the original novel made sense here. I did have some anxiety problems early on (the selection scene in District 12, specifically), and I was concerned I wouldn’t be able to make it though the movie. I got through okay, though.
A combination of the recent passing of Neil Armstrong and rewatching the first two episodes of season 6 of Doctor Who (which revolve around an impossible astronaut and the Apollo moon landing) led to this. I obviously have no idea what a space suit looks like.
My wife talked about this today. We’re still not sure what the hell she’s talking about, but it sounds entertaining.
In the morning, it’s back to school for us. Teacher Inservice Week is a tolerable transition from vacation for most, but some have a bit more trouble getting back into the swing of things than others.
Happy birthday, Allison!
And yes, the inflatable moose head is real. They sell them at Target.
A conversation I had with Allison the other day. It’s true, there are plenty of dumbasses in our world, and I have to deal with entirely too many of them.
While we enjoyed our visit out west, it was nice to finally get home and do things like sleep in our own bed and not have to spend hours sitting in the car anymore.
Well, back to non-travelogue comics now.
We spent 16 hours in the car Wednesday. It was…rather too long, I think.
