There’s nothing wrong with an inspirational quote or two now and then, but some of these Youtube Bullet Journal peeps are way too extra about this stuff. And their layouts? I mean, jeez, I just wanna write down when I have an IEP coming up so I don’t forget about it, not plan an invasion of a foreign country.
I spend every day wishing winter would arrive so I can open the windows in my classroom and feel comfortable.

It’s the first day of school, and I’m already tired.

For our Wednesday in-service, the social studies department invited several scholars and historians from the local community and a bunch of older alumni and alumnae from Falls Church High School to come speak with us. It was a neat lesson in local history, and my favorite part was definitely just listening to the old timers tell stories of their glory days. It reminded me of both of my grandfathers, who are consummate storytellers.
It’s just a really damn good song, that’s all.
Since I’m back at work, it means the Wife has to wake up earlier than she has all summer in order to get a ride to work. She is not happy about it.
