Mental health is a tricky thing. For years, I’ve often felt a sense of helplessness and hopelessness. I’ve been in therapy for about a year or so now, and this week saw a psychiatrist and got a prescription to help deal with the depression and anxiety I’ve been feeling since I was young.
My anxiety and depression are always gonna be there, but I think I’m well on my way to being able to manage it. I believe it’s important to talk about these sorts of things, to reduce the stigma attached to mental health issues.
We must take good care of ourselves on all levels.
It’s true. It’s taken me some time to figure that out, but it’s definitely true.
