When I was a freshman in high school, lo these many moons ago, I got this green microfiber jacket. I loved that thing. I wore it all throughout high school, college, and graduate school. Though it no longer fits, and is ratty beyond all belief, it hangs still in the closet. I won’t be getting rid of it anytime soon, much to my wife’s chagrin.

My ex took my high-school Levis jacket and chopped it up. It was fifteen years old and had never been washed. It had blood, food, motor oil, battery acid, paint, bleach and other stuff spilled all over it . . . yeah, she hated it.
My wife would love nothing more than to set my jacket on fire, I’m pretty sure.
