A friend in Choctaw County told me they’ve had temperatures in excess of 110 all week. Maybe you’ve acclimatized and will get that lovely Oklahoma twang.
It was tremendously hot right up until about the time we came to visit. Everywhere we’ve gone in the state, the temperature has suddenly become quite pleasant. In fact, we actually had rain and temperatures in the low 80s F where we are today, something they haven’t seen much of in months.
I’d say! If I still lived there, the second the rain started I would have moved a lawn chair out with a soda and enjoyed it.
I think my grandparents about wept with joy when it started raining.
