That absolutely sucks! Type A or Type B? My son developed Type A when he was 5 years old. He’s 29 now and just lost his central vision because he’s stupid and didn’t take care of himself properly. Please don’t be stupid.
I think it’s Type B? It’s adult-onset, caused by my love of all things sugary and carby. I’m on medication, working on eating better, and I’m exercising. I’ve probably been diabetic for quite some time, but I didn’t go to the doctor because I didn’t want to hear it. I’m getting better at the self-care thing, and my wife is a tremendous help (she was already doing low-carb herself), so I should hopefully be able to manage. Thank you for your thoughts, though, and I hope your son is able to start doing what he needs to.
It’s great that you have support so you aren’t trying to do it all yourself. As for my son, he’s finally doing what he needs to do. Good luck. I’m sure you’ll do great. :o)
