Have you ever read A Prehistory of the Far Side? It’s my favorite of Gary Larson’s books. He includes a lot of his sketches and you can see how they turned into the cartoons we know. There are also a number of sketches he never used.
I’ve heard of it, but never had the chance to read it. I’ll have to check it out!
