Never fails: first day back from a break, some kid always asks, “Do we have to do work today? We just got back from break.” And then I murder them.

It’s the last day of school before break and the Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year!

Just one more week until Winter Break!

I woke up Wednesday morning with a massive headache and in a grouchy mood. It didn’t go well for my students.

I’m working this week without my team-teacher. I’m sure this won’t happen.
Mostly sure.

We’re trying a new protocol at school to get kids to class on time. If they’re late, they have to report to the nearest Sweep Station, where they check in and get escorted to class. It’s a little weird, but also maybe working? It’s hard to say.
