With all the talk of preexisting conditions, it’s only a matter of time before things get worse.
A comic.

With all the talk of preexisting conditions, it’s only a matter of time before things get worse.
I’m angry. Not just because so many people I know and love can lose their health coverage. Not just because I could lose coverage because of my pre-existing conditions. It’s the lying. The blatant, flagrant lying about what the new law will cover, what the law will or will not change about health insurance. It’s as though they don’t think we are able to find out the truth. Like they think they can get away with these things, and we’re too stupid to know what’s true.

Happy Star Wars Day!

I mean, if you go back through the archives and look at the stuff I drew when I first started working digitally, it looked like ass. Complete and total ass.

There are entirely too many things wrong with Trump’s statements on the Civil War. The nonsense about Andrew Jackson (that genocidal ass), the whole “why did the Civil War happen?” idiocy is just…well, idiocy.
On the other hand, it does make me feel like my job is apparently of absolutely no value, since we’re all just making up our own history now I guess.

Still getting the hang of drawing with the new system. Trying out a different shading thing with an ink wash brush in the program. It’s looser, but I kinda like it.

This is the first comic created with my new comic-making setup! I went and got a Surface Pro 3 and I’m using Clip Studio Pro (what used to be called Manga Studio). I like the variety of brushes and pencils, and it feels very natural to draw on. Plus, unlike when I was using the old Sketchbook Pro app on my iPad (an app the publisher was no longer supporting and that wouldn’t be available come this fall when the new version of iOS came out), I can create a custom size canvas and add text directly to the comic in the app (instead of using three – three – apps to accomplish all this before).
I also took the opportunity to try out a new font. Do you like it? Is it easy to read? Could I make it smaller? Is the comic itself big enough? Too big? Tell me what you think!
