Anyone who has ever been in a Wal-Mart during hunting season has seen this.
I get why hunters wear these things, and I’m sure the deer don’t have sophisticated-enough eyes or whatever to be able to tell that someone is wearing a highlighter-yellow vest over their camouflage, but I still find it funny that people put on camo and then cover it with something called a “high-visibility vest.” That seems counter-productive at best.

The thinking would be a little more consistent if the camo suit were shades of orange mimicking, in brightness, the contrasting camo patterns (and I may have seen one like I’m thinking) but the typical outfit is stupid. Then again, I don’t get the sense of hanging out in a tree freezing when you could just buy your meat from the store and shoot a virtual deer (or a hundred such, if that’s your inclination) on your game console or choice. Cheaper in the long run, more comfortable, and less of a chance of shooting yourself in the face.
