This question comes up in class so often, you have to think someone out there is actually letting their kids have free days where they don’t do any work. If I ever find them, we will have words. Oh yes, so many words.

There are times it makes me feel like I’m a terrible teacher. I see their grades, their lack of effort, and it just eats me up. Am I really not any good?
Then I see their grades in other classes and realize that, sometimes, it’s the student, not the teacher. They gotta meet you part way, at least.

I really think this would be a great way to settle disputes again. I mean, we’re returning to downright medieval ways of treating women and minorities, so why not go the whole nine yards and bring back trial by combat and ordeal?

Winter Break is over, and it’s back to work. Booo, indeed.

Got sick over the weekend. Yay.

The students seem to get younger and younger every year.

It’s true, my taste in music does not match up at all with my students. At all.
