This question comes up in class so often, you have to think someone out there is actually letting their kids have free days where they don’t do any work. If I ever find them, we will have words. Oh yes, so many words.

#1764 – Solving Problems the Old-Fashioned Way
I really think this would be a great way to settle disputes again. I mean, we’re returning to downright medieval ways of treating women and minorities, so why not go the whole nine yards and bring back trial by combat and ordeal?
#1754 – Two-Hour Delay
They called the first two-hour delay of the year! Hurray!
#1752 – Ready To Learn
Winter Break is over, and it’s back to work. Booo, indeed.
#1665 – Fetus
The students seem to get younger and younger every year.
#1664 – Whitest Guy You Know

#1615 – School’s Out
It’s the last day of school! Peace out, students!
#1611 – Lollygagging
It’s finals week! I’m ready for it to be over already.
#1609 – Mission: Impossible
The last few days of the school year are always a challenge. The kids are ready to be done, and start asking things like, “Why are we still doing work? Doesn’t the school year end next week?” To which I reply, “Yes, it does. It ends next week, which means this week we are still in school, and still doing things.”
They do not care for this answer.
