I’ve traditionally railed against my brother’s insistence on including organ in our songs, but I’m starting to come around.

It’s not that what Clyde does to the songs I send him is bad, per se, just that it’s never exactly what I was expecting or hearing in my head.
The Louis Armstrong version is clearly the superior version, if for no other reason than the fact that he throws it to himself at the end for the trumpet solo. That’s a baller move.
It’s true, my taste in music does not match up at all with my students. At all.
I mean, if the connection is there, why not embrace it? Or at least start calling him “Van” and teach him the chorus to “Brown-Eyed Girl.” That’s pretty easy.
