Allison started her move into a new place this weekend, and while I’ll enjoy having my music room back, I’ll miss having her around. I mean, all those baked goods. And the extra rent money. Man, the extra rent money was awesome.

Maurice Sendak, the writer/artist behind such classics as Where the Wild Things Are, died on Tuesday. he was a pretty cool guy, from what I can tell, and he had a pretty good handle on what children were actually like (as opposed to what we think they’re like when we look back at childhood, which is totally different), and he was a sharp and clever creative talent. He’ll be missed.

I swear, my cat is possibly the single laziest creature alive. I rarely see her up and about, unless it’s time to eat or someone goes into the back yard (she loves e back yard).
Everyone always comments, though, about the fact that her name is Ninja Steve. I say cats don’t really have gender like people do, and we took all her girl parts anyway when she was spayed. Besides, “Ninja Stephanie” just doesn’t have the same ring to it.

Here’s another character sketch from the in-progress secret comics project. He’s a minor character, and one that I don’t think ever actually shows up in the story (he’s referenced by other characters once or twice, but isn’t involved in the actual plot). Though he isn’t someone who shows up in the first arc, he might have a place somewhere on down the road in another story, so I thought I’d take a crack at him tonight anyway.
