It’s been awhile since I felt the urge to dig out the pen and paper and write a song, but said urge grabbed me earlier this week. When the sensation passed, I realized I actually had a whole song. I married it to a very simple chord structure (it’s just two chords in the verse and four in the chorus), and suddenly had something resembling a new song. And now you can hear it with your ear holes, hoo-mans.

I have a shirt that I’ve been wearing for about five years now. It’s one of my favorites, obviously. Sadly, it has a hole along the waistband where it’s rubbed against the seatbelt buckle in the car for years. Worn clean through. It’s probably time I retire the thing, but I have a hard time letting go.
Sketch a Day, Day 369
Probably mostly true story. Granted, she didn’t tell me the girl I apparently ditched her for had herpes at the time. Oh, no, she waited until after we got married.
Not that it mattered much, since whoever that girl was, she ignored me and I don’t even remember her name now.
Also, I’m not good with subtext. It just becomes text with me, apparently.
